IDC was created to provide instructional design and learning design related professionals access to brilliant resources, tools, and content so that they can be successful in their career and education. Instructional Design Central (IDC) is also a vibrant community that connects over 26,000 instructional design related professionals around the globe in more 20 countries worldwide. Instructional Design Central (IDC) is a privately owned and operated company launched in 2011 out of Saratoga Springs Utah, in the shadows of Silicon Slopes.

Travis Jordan,
Founder and Owner
Travis founded Instructional Design Central (IDC) in 2011 with the intent of helping instructional design related professionals and students to discover information about the industry, access helpful resources, and connect with others. Today, IDC connects over 30,000 instructional design related professionals around the globe in more 20 countries worldwide.
He has over 12 years of experience in the learning industry with various capacities across diverse sectors including business, non-profit and academia. He was Head of Learning for two large global organizations with the responsibility over learning and development strategy and operations. He is also an expert consultant and coach with a passion to help learning designers and leaders succeed.
Additionally, Travis also has several years’ experience as a Product Leader for high tech companies including Adobe Inc. Common principles of instructional design and product development beautifully converge to deliver results driven products and experiences. Travis also has a Master of Science (MS) degree, in Instructional Technology from Utah State University.
