    Instructional Designer Opening in Minneapolis, MN

     

    The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis has an opening in their Treasury Retail Services Training Division. This position collaborates with all internal and external parties to assess needs, develops, reviews, deploys and delivers training materials and courses used to educate internal staff and external customers in the use of Treasury Retail Securities products and services. Recommends and implements training course changes, updates, and enhancements through the analysis of customer needs.  

    Work with a range of clients within the Federal Reserve System (FRS) and Bureau of Public Debt.


    Serves as a department communications coordinator to review, assess, and summarize critical changes in business processes and/or procedures received from internal and external sources. Identifies technology issues and translates technology solutions to non-technical people.


    Keep training materials and procedures current and consistent.

    Conduct training courses, as needed.


    Participate in department, Bank, and FRS workgroups.

    Complete ad-hoc assignments, studies, and proposals as required.


    Integrate sound adult learning principles into solutions.


    Travel 10% of the time.


    Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree with major or coursework in education, instructional design, training or a related field.


    4 or more years of experience developing and designing web-based training programs.


    Demonstrated project-management skills


    Strong writing and proofreading skills


    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


    Ability to travel 10% of the time


    Prior experience with course management systems and a variety of computer platforms and authoring software such as Macromedia’s Dreamweaver, Captivate, or Flash is preferred.


    Professional certification in eLearning development, instructional design, training or web design/graphics is preferred.


    SCORM experience is preferred.


    Master’s degree is preferred.


    Market Pay Range: $55,200 – 82,800
