Mount Mercy University is a Catholic, coeducational University founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928 enrolling approximately 1900 students. The University offers a variety of liberal arts, professional, accelerated, and graduate degree programs. Mount Mercy University invited applications for the Instructional Designer for Adult Programs.

 

This person will be responsible for assisting faculty in developing and implementing learning experiences that reflect scholarship and best practice in teaching, primarily in the online and undergraduate accelerated programs. The Designer works collaboratively with departments and individual faculty, particularly related to instructional materials and strategies, objectives and assessments, and optimizing use of the Brightspace digital learning environment. This individual also provides training courses for online or accelerated instruction, conducts course reviews, and contributes to assessment processes.

 

The Instructional Designer reports directly to the Dean of Adult Programs. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a willingness to support Mount Mercy’s mission as a Catholic university providing student-focused education in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy.
