Job Title: Sr. Director, Human Resources

Organization: The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC)
Location: Crystal City, VA

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) is searching for a senior level professional to take the lead in creating new learning opportunities for our members by exploring new technologies, customized learning formats, and new partnerships with other entities.

 

This position is a member of the senior leadership team for the association and will lead and manage APIC's online education program. The field of infection prevention is wide open for new learning opportunities, including live and online offerings. Working with member volunteer committee members to ensure that APIC is providing the education our members need and want, the Senior Director will direct the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of online educational programs and activities including speaker selection and management, instructional design oversight, and assurance of content relevance, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.

 

This position also works collaboratively with the executive team and other departments in setting strategic direction for new and innovative learning options and will work with committee and internal staff to develop new programs and educational offerings to increase the competency of APIC members and achieve goals as set forth in APIC's strategic plan. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the right professional who has the potential for and the desire to help move APIC towards its vision of Healthcare Without Infection while enriching the lives and careers of its members.

 

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree plus 7-10 years' experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, and association management. experience in a healthcare association is helpful, but not necessary. Masters or PhD is a plus.
