Are you looking for an opportunity to use your experience in instructional design and training delivery in a not-for-profit organization? Church Pension Group, the Midtown Manhattan-based benefits provider to the national Episcopal Church, seeks to hire two Instructional Designer/Trainers who will develop a broad and deep understanding of the unit’s business goals and makes connections to those in the learning strategy. The Designer/Trainer’s main responsibility is to analyze, design and develop training curriculum and deliver training programs to existing CS associates and supervisory staff; conduct needs assessment, identifying existing skills/knowledge and performance gaps and making appropriate recommendations for selecting effective training and performance support strategies; and design and develop training and performance support materials that meet ever-changing business demands.
For consideration, you must have a BA\BS in Education, Training, or a related discipline; currently be enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Instructional Design and/or eLearning; and have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar type of organization. You must also have intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and experience with eLearning development tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate Studio, and Articulate Storyline) and using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) model to design and develop training courses. In addition, you must have 3 to 5 years of experience developing training materials for various modalities (ILT, blended learning, eLearning, virtual learning) and instructional design and the ability to adapt to ad hoc requests, scope changes, and remain productive in response to a fluctuating and dynamic work environment. Experience designing and developing training and performance support solutions for multiple modalities, such as face-to-face, blended learning, and eLearning; intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and experience in developing training materials; and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications are essential. A Master’s degree in Instructional Design and/or eLearning and financial services and/or insurance industry knowledge is preferred.
