Position Description:
Under the direction of the Director of the Department of Academic Technology and Learning Innovation, and Instructional Designer Supervisor, the Senior Instructional Designer (SID) will provide instructional design expertise for the development and support of in-person, remote instruction, as well as online and hybrid courses. This position will work closely with UCLA Extension academic unit continuing educators, program representatives, and instructors to develop courses for delivery. This will include support in pedagogy, use of Canvas and integrated tools, assessment of learning outcomes, development of learning resources, active learning strategies, as well as best practices for teaching in specific formats.
Together with the Continuing Educator, the SID will have responsibility for ensuring that courses meet the rigor and quality standards established by UCLA Extension and that course design is accessible and inclusive.
