Position Description:

Excelling in quality, innovation, and impact, UCLA Extension (UNEX) is one of the top providers of continuing and professional education in the United States, offering programs and classes to more than 50,000 students per year through approximately 4,500 classes and certificate programs to meet the professional development, continuing education, and personal enrichment needs of the full spectrum of traditional, nontraditional, domestic, international, professional, and continuing education students throughout and beyond Los Angeles.

The eLearning Designer/Multimedia Developer is part of UCLA Extension's professional learning and development team and will be the main dedicated instructional designer in the build of an eLearning course project for the healthcare field, in partnership with UCLA Health.

Reporting directly to the Instructional Design Supervisor, the eLearning Designer/Multimedia Developer will provide leadership for the project and work closely with other instructional designers to design, develop, and maintain high-quality multimedia and interactive learning experiences. The incumbent will use advanced technical skills related to learning management systems, multimedia design, assessment systems, communication tools, and multimedia creative applications to meet the unique learning requirements of this eLearning course project.

The incumbent will facilitate collaboration with a team of instructional designers, subject matter experts, and clients to gather requirements and design custom learning experiences that align with learner needs and client goals, while adhering to brand guidelines and project requirements. They will be exceptionally proficient in using interactive educational technologies and standard design tools, with required experience in Articulate Rise and Storyline.

The incumbent is highly collaborative, efficient, and able to effectively bring relevant learning experiences to life. They should have a learner-focused approach and the ability to think creatively, while gently and effectively guiding clients towards optimum learning solutions.

This is a remote, contract engagement for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Special Instructions:

The target salary range for this position is between the posted minimum and $10,192 monthly.
